Tired of eating the same kind of spaghetti over and over again? Well, I can suggest this one that my sister cooked for us as a merienda treat in her home. It’s not the common red sauce of spaghetti or the white sauce of the carbonara pasta. It is orange in color using tuna as its main ingredient. Kids will surely love this too! Try it.

For the ingredients:

600 grams cooked spaghetti pasta

1 piece chopped large onion

5 tablespoon melted butter

2 cans drained tuna flakes in oil (184 g. each)

2 pieces beef bouillon cubes

2 pieces medium green bell peppers (cut into cubes)

2 cups canned button mushrooms (sliced)

1 pouch Italian spaghetti sauce (560 grams)

4 cups all-purpose cream

2 cups grated cheese

salt and pepper to taste

For the procedure:

1. Saute onion in butter. Add tuna, bouillon cubes, mushrooms, bell peppers and spaghetti sauce.

2. Simmer for five minutes.

3. Add cream, cheese, salt and pepper to taste.

4. Stir over in low heat for two minutes.

5. Pour over cooked spaghetti pasta. Top with cheese.

Happy eating!
